I bought Shear Comfort (Hawaii Style.) Perfect fit- match the cars' color - - pricy but I plan on keeping the cat. Lousy photo but if you are that interested I'll post better shots.

Talking Re: seat covers

I bought the Shear Comfort Neoprene seat covers for my wife's 2006 Basic PT. I had to return them twice because they didn't fit. The way they were designed, the bottom edges could not be attached. They made them over and finally just sent a new, updated set. They got the driver's side wrong because they forgot the pocket and the seat release hole was on the wrong side. They had to replace that one, too.

All in all, they did bend over backwards to give me good seat covers that fit, no questions asked. I think that there were changes in the seat forms for 2006 that were the problem. I had to send photos of my seats.

Would I buy again? Certainly. They have a good product and they stand behind all their work. Pricey, but worth it. Once installed, you would be hard pressed to identify them as seat covers.

If you contact Mike at mrmike.com he may have one in the remainder of his "take-offs". If you haven't benn to his site it's a good read just to see whats been going for all of these years in the custom seat part of the PT aftermarket. His product is the best out there imho. When you start scrolling down in the custom leather section and you get to the set called "too funny", make sure you click on it and read about the build. It was probably the first PT to do a V-8 conversion. It ran great!!! He was an "old fart" like me and he only lived a few miles south of me in Venice, Florida. When Mike was finished with the interior part of the conversion, it looked absolutely flawless!

Mr. Mike also lives just a few miles from me in Sarasota and he did my leather conversion at his shop.

I've been looking for them for years. Most of them will not work on my PT as it's got those side impact airbags and 99% of seat covers do not have and adaptation for that.

Also, really all I want are those terry cloth covers that either say Chrysler or PT Cruiser on them. Machine washable, take them off for shows, etc. They supposedly are great for absorbing sweat, etc. I've got a vert and the top stays down all day during the summer, and boy oh boy do you bake your butt when you sit down on that hot leather, these would be a great item to prevent that.

The problem I have is that I've only found them in two places: CruiserMotorSports and PTBoutique. Now CMS has the better prices, but I wouldn't do business with that ahole if my life depended on it. And at PTBoutique, they are just too pricey.

So if anyone runs across those terrycloth seat covers, let me know pleez!
