I put LED's in my tail lights. They are very bright when your in back of the car but not very bright from the sides. That's the property of the LED. If you had the needles lit before changing to LED's, maybe that's your problem. The other bulbs overall brighness used to light up the needle and the rest of the gauge (although not very well) and the LED doesn't light up anything but straight out from the bulb.

When you say needles, are you referring to the dial pointers on the speedometer and gauges? They have never lit up on my '05 - I wish they did - that would make it much easier to read if those orange pointers lit up, especially in the daytime.

Do you happen to have the exact model number of the LED's?
