I just bought a dash kit form Woodview. I am waiting for it to arrive so that I can install it in the Woody[?]. I will post some pics when the job is down - probably not til spring arrives!!! I hate this snow crap!!
Do wait for spring. Must be warm to install, besides, the cold beer will make since then.[8D]

I am still looking for pieces that match my shadow dot pieces! I think that would be less expensive and look the best! Sure wouold have been easier if they used something more like the real CF!

RapidCraft was the only company I have ever seen that were able to match the ShadowDot pattern. They stretched themselves too thin trying to do production work and aftermarket work and the aftermarket parts were very slow coming to market. Unfortunately, they sold out and the company that bought them quit making any aftermarket parts.

Seems like a void that someone should fill. I wanted a ShadowDot center dash overlay but they never came out with anything but "hand trimmed" models prior to selling out.

If one was to get real carbon fiber to replace the factories original, would it be applied over the originals or would the originals have to be removed first? If had to be removed, how? Just grab hold of a corner and peel away?

I believe all 3-D Molded Dash Kits made by WOODVIEW are inastalled over the original--the end-product should give you a "custom/factory-installed look". Has anyone seen one of these kits on a car?

It won't matter if the woodview matches your shadow dot or not because it covers the two spots in the car where there's shadow dot. Also I think black cherrywood would look best in your cruiser.
Persoanally I can't stand that shadow dot crap....it's such a fake carbon fiber it makes me sick...it doesn't even look the faux-carbon fiber it's like a rip off of a rip off....[:0]

Black Cherrywood is here! I ordered the 8-piece set and I have to tell ya... it looks GREAT.

I have a black '01 so I have the taupe 'n tan interior. This kit picks up on ALL of these colors perfectly.

It's too cold to do the install right now, but when I do, I'll post some pics.

Gary, I would buy the cheapest ones, and have then custom painted, do you know a good air brush artist? a good body shop can do it also, that way you will get the EXACT look you want. I love my mable dash covers, when I get them in the car (for the first car show) I will snap a pic for you. No regrets on that one. Gary
