Default seat question

The plastic panel on the driver's side seat that houses the seat adjustment switch has broken loose. It seems like a bad design as it comes up very close to the top of the seat. Does anyone know where I can get another panel? Does anyone have another solution?

You might have to get a replacement from the salvage yard. The dealer also might be able to order a new one. According to my parts manual, it's called a SHIELD, seat cushion Driver side, and there's a different number depending on if you have the power seat or not.

The usual places. Chrysler dealer, E-BAY, CRAIGS LIST, salvage yards, etc.

Actually Technoron/Spooky fixed his in a very cool way, see his post here: driver automatic seat panal, ripped off! need to fix it

Me, I'm going to insert a hardened aluminum panel in that side of the seat, with rolled edges, to keep the edge of the seat stiff so I don't slide over and knock off the control panel again. It will be an insert that fits that entire side of the seat so that I can screw the control panel into it. Soon as I'm done I'll post up what I did. There's nothing wrong with your panel except the broken clips, then there's no reason to replace it. You can do a temp fix like Technoron did, I'm considering that but with my big arse and my 300+ pounds I'm sure that fix is really temporary.

Good luck to you!

I realize that your post is quite old, but I'm interested in knowing if you were successful in making a new bracket. If so, please send/post a pic.
