Cool Steering Wheel Spoke Covers - Cheap?

Does anyone know if someone makes plastic covers for the steering wheel spokes for the 2000-5 PT?
Back in 2008 Quicksilver Don posted about "Rapidcraft" on the Turbo Dodge Forum.
But, they do not exist now.

I want to paint my steering wheel spokes to match the body color.
They are pretty scratched up now. But, can't get the silver plastic ones off without breaking.

Yours are plastic?.....The only ones I've seen were brushed,or polished metal.......I've been considering wrapping my 'bare' spokes in chrome wrap,or carbon fiber wrap;Maybe you could do the same with something like this,it's about the same color as your PT: 3"x5" Sample Avery Supreme Matte Frosty Blue Metallic Vinyl Decal Car Wrap Film | eBay

Trying to repeat the Deep Lava Red-Brown as much as I can.
The back half pops off easily since it snaps on.
But, the front is buried deeper under both inside and outside leather.
Pretty sure I was near breaking it trying.

Red face Re: Steering Wheel Spoke Covers - Cheap?

Sorry,I was thining of 'Cruisr's' PT(Lt. Blue Metallic?)...Yeah,that was the wrong color for your 'New Toy';This should be the correct color(Red-Brown): 3in x 5in Sample Oracal Matte Red Brown 970RA Wrapping Vinyl Rapidair Car Wrap | eBay
Sample 3" x 5" is still only $1.99.....
The only one in a 'metallic' red/brown is a 5' x 1' roll for $16.94: http://www.ebay.com/itm/5ft-x-1ft-Or...ht_3911wt_1018(You could always use some of the extra for wrapping the center radio bezel?...Idea?lol)

Why did they not do the shifter knob in the Deep Lava Red body color?
Dash bezel will be next painting.

My first '04 GT that I bought new had the satin silver spokes but believe it or not, the '03 GT that I had for many years had the plain spokes. I have seen reports of the silver paint (or coating) failing on the spokes and shift knobs but I never had to deal with it. From your description of attempting to remove the spoke covers, it sounds like you may have to remove the steering wheel air bag cover first.

i wrote here earlier and decided not to click "post" because i figured you were painting. do it with paint, or do it with avery or 3M, but NOT with oracal. if i were you i'd take that sample and throw it right in the garbage. Oracal is garbage. it shrinks, and leaves a glue outline, it peels, it cracks. just throw it out. if you put it on and try to peel it off later, it might take the finish of the plastic along with it. don't stick it on your car. $2 is not worth the headache. i'd never put that crap on a car. i use it for golf outing signs and other temporary stuff that gets thrown out.

i pay $22 for 10 yards of oracal
i pay $15 for 1 yard of avery/3M

fifteen times more expensive, and worth every penny.

what color do you want?? what color is your car? i don't know why they charge for free samples. that's messed up. i can get a FREE sample of any color you want.

don't put oracal on your car. don't buy vinyl on ebay.

i always get free samples of this stuff. i got this in the mail yesterday:

let me know what you want. i'll get it and send it to you. free.

don't put oracal on your car.

i may actually have the color you want sitting at work. it is a weird metallic burgundyish-purpleish color i bought to match a PT i made magnetic signs for. if not, i have others

post a pic of your car so i can see what color it is. i'll just send you some.

i keep all my scraps and im dying to get rid of them. rolls and scraps of this crap everywhere, out of space to store it. its taking over the benches. i hate it. its always in my way.

seriously post up a pic so i can see color.
