Default Polished Aluminum Gauge Button Sleeves

Just wanted to share a project I finished. I machined button sleeves for my gauge buttons out of aluminum. If there is enough interest, I would start producing these for you guys. I am also working on a sleeve for a 1st gen cluster as well. Let me know what you guys think

It took about an hour and a half to machine a set of buttons on my lathe. Production time per set could be reduced if I make them in batches.

They are 5/16" in diameter and 1" long. The hole size is 0.213 (#3 drill bit) and is 3/4" deep.

Do you know what the pricing would be? I am interested but it will depend on how much.

I was thinking in the neighborhood of $20 including shipping. I know something like this could be cheaper if they were mass produced on a CNC but I'm just 1 guy on a 6" lathe in his garage

Does that sound reasonable? If I made a 1st gen sleeve it would be cheaper since it's only one.

Busted was able to get some of the initial measurements of: 6mm x 3 1/4" That's down through the clear and black covers.
Here are some additional exact dimensions Inferno needs to know:

For the width, it would be more accurate if you could measure it in thousandths of an inch. Do you have access to a micrometer or dial calipers?
The diameter is quite crucial, i want it to be a snug fit but i dont want it to be loose either. Once I finish my set I think I will try using a dab of elmers glue to just keep them in place without any permanent adhesive. (the buttons are not tapered like the caliber's are).

The buttons for the 2nd gen are about that long, however they have support bushings that keep only about 1-1/8" sticking out of the cluster. You can see this in my side-by-side pics earlier in my SRT Gauges thread.

Oh, and one more thing. How much room is between the bezel and the button? In the gen 2 bezel the opening is almost 3/8" of an inch, however pics of 1st gen bezels show very little gap around the button. I would hate if you guys had to drill out your bezels

So in other words, how big is the hole in your 1st gen bezel?
Thanks,

Chris
