Default interior swap

Hi folks only had my PT siince 09/04/14 and already i am looking to change things.
Been offerd a full leather/sued interion with door cards for 50 and would like to swap the old one out to make this look a bit better, i have the classic 2.l on a 54 plate full dealer stamped looking not bad for the age.
now seats will be a straight bolt out bolt in on the front and quick release on the rears, but i want to get the heated seats working as well so my question is, does the power feed to the drivers seat power the heated element aswell as the motor to move the seat or is a different harness needed? i assume that the passenger seat will need a power feed as that doesnt have one on the classic

any help on this would be great many thanks

Greetings
Welcome to the forum.
I may be able to help. I assume you are in Europe, but I can not assume the model year of your car. I have some understanding of the wiring schematics for 2001-2005. From 2006 on, with the changed electrical system, I have no knowledge.

Basic system (first gen) uses PDC fuse #4.
In the dash fuse-block fuses #4 (power seats) and #17 (heated seats). Also dash fuse-block fuse #6 (ignition switch power) controls the heated-seat relay at the bottom of the dash fuse-block.

Wiring harness/ connectors for the seat heaters and switches and control modules will likely require some auto salvage yard visits.

The heated seats are made up of three components, the switches, heating elements and one "brains unit". On a typical US car, the seats have a yellow plug which is for the air bag and a second unit which powers the seat. I would plug in the seat (US is a black plug) and check to see if it works. Try the unit with the controller. The US units are white and are about 3x5 inches and an inch tall typically in the front of the lower seat pan.

Here's what I have for wiring information.....once again US model, European may be different:

DRIVER HEATED SEAT MODULE (NORMAL BUILD) - GREEN 14 WAY CAV CIRCUIT FUNCTION

5 P131 18RD/DG DRIVER SEAT HEATER B(+) DRIVER
6 F99 18RD/WT FUSED HEATED SEAT RELAY OUTPUT

12 P137 20VT/DG DRIVER SEAT LOW HEAT LED DRIVER
13 Z121 18BK GROUND
14 P139 2OVT/WT DRIVER SEAT HIGH HEAT LED DRIVER

It looks like it's a 20A circuit for the power/heated seats. The seat heaters work off of 5 volts, so I hope you got the control modules for them too. Hope this helps you.

thanks for the welcome and the reply's to my post.

the interior that i was offered looked nothing like the interior i was shown in the pics, so i have decided to not go down this route just yet, i got the feeling that the seller was trying to pass off a rubbish interior and not the one he had taken pics off. good job i listend to my instinct

Yes i am in Europe and i would not be surprised if teh wireing was differant between regions, my cruiser s a 2005 on a 54 plate 2.l classic so it lacks some of the refinements of higher spec cars but i will address these as i become more familiar with them and what may or may not fit.

Just had to replace the tail lift gas struts as one side had rusted and was knocking when the tail is opened, just painted them dark metalic blue to match the body colour and i must say it does look rather nice
