Default LEATHER SEAT REPAIR

Any suggestions / .. Last year this genius sat down with the business end of scissors in back pocket. ( nice 2" cut )
It's understandable to laugh.. I'm not though. I've searched the forum and don't see much..
..
So, any kits? ideas? with thanks

The Turbo is strong, fast and reliable.. People that don't understand the love of a PT, probably don't deserve to.

So you have the black leather seats, right?

Really all you need is a replacement lower cushion or even the cushion cover. If it was taupe, the the salvage yards are full of those but the black leather ones are much rarer. So my first choice would be to check with forum member, bubba_1952. He may have a seat cushion and/or cover that he could sell and ship to you.

The next, most obvious and likely best solution is to go to a local auto upholstery shop and have them replace the damaged cushion cover. Black is fairly easy to color match so the problem with that idea would be cost. But if it was me, I'd still get a quote to see if I could afford it. It may be more reasonable then we think.

And third, there's always the poor-boy method. Just get a needle and thread and sew up the rip. Being black, it may not look too bad or noticeable if you do a good job. Start by coloring all the edges and under-padded black with a black Sharpie pen. Then use black thread that matches the seat color.

I find it ironic that the colors red, white, and blue stand for freedom until they are flashing behind you.

If you don't mind a small crease, super glue will work also.
