Default A-Pillar 3 Gauge Mod

Here is a revised project.

I thought I might show off a little of my interior parts I have been working on and have some work done for me. I do have a little "ricer" in me but as i explained i am old enough that the mods our generation did are what some ricers try to emulate now? With less effect I might add? lol
I got the pillar cover from a member on the PT Crew last year and it under went some changes.
Working on the gauge pod again. Basically to get it Hydro coated the 2 parts need to be one unit. So with JB weld and super glue, some sanding and prepping that is what I did.

I clamp the two parts together and let them sit out in the sun 100F a couple of day to form the pod to the OEM pillar.

Next is all the bonding sanding and fitting.

A little repair job from dropping it walking down the driveway > :

Trial fitting the gauges.

And now to ship off to Doubled D mods for the Carbon Fiber Hydro-coating.
Double D Mods

And here they are finished ready to go into the PT with the new gauges.

I was excited until I saw the graphic rap. I would have love to have seen them painted to match the original. It looks truly awesome. Though it's not what I have in mind for mine.

But I like the idea of bonding it to an original pillar cover. That's a very nice fit. Nitro is a true artist with this kind of stuff.

Thanks Todd!

Everyones taste varies for me modding is not so much keeping things looking like it came factory. If I go into a parking lot car show my pillar will get more looks then had I painted it OE trim color.

Besides it matches my center dash covers.
GT Double Din and stereo system upgrade

I am still deciding on the final arrangement and which gauges to use, This looks like the 3 that may be the final choice?
