Body Colored Center Dash Console

Hey guys...

I am a little new here. I saw somewhere boby colored center dash consoles but can not find the link now. I like the gauge surround and the airbag cover and wanted the center dash console to have the same look. All I can find are wood and chrome but I would like patriot blue. I really do not want to paint it. Anyone have a link?

Well, I ended up find the link. Price seems to be a little steep. I guess I might have to paint it.

Just do it yourself.
These are steps of what I have read about or printed from previous users.

1 - Flat head screwdriver, or * Trim Stick
1 - Philips head screwdriver
1 - Roll masking tape (best grade available)
1 - 2 Cans Mopar primer
2 - Cans Mopar spray touch-up paint *
1 - Can Mopar clear coat
1 - Tube of Mopar touch up paint
1 - Tack cloth

Remove panel

Wet sand the exposed surfaces, which you will be painting. Using 400 grit sandpaper to do this. Clean with a wet paper towel and a clean cloth, followed by a tack cloth.

Wipe the surface clean than apply a coat of primer.
Let dry.

When the first coat of primer has dried wet sand the surface, clean and apply another coat of primer. Aplly three coats and wet sand between each coat. Clean with a tack cloth after each sanding.

After the final coat of primer wet the surface with 600 grit sandpaper then wiped the surface clean.

Apply the Mopar spray paint to the console in heavy coat. Let dry for 24hrs.

Wet sand the surface with 800 grit sandpaper. Wipe the surface clean and apply another coat.

After you have sprayed the final coat, do not wet sand. Spray a coat of clear coat on the surface. Spray as many as you like.

Carefully remove the masking tape from the console as not to take off the finish.

Edges may need touching up.

Reinstall console.

Pro-Felge has good stuff, but not cheap. 145 Euros, with shipping, close to $200. Also took stuff I ordered a while to get here. Dunno you can get someone to want to bother painting it unless you have more painting in mind...

What KingKole02 said! You will get more satisfaction from doing it yourself and it wll be a lot cheaper than buying a replacement. I never thought I could do stuff like this, but I painted my own center console and it looks great!

Try this company. They'll paint center console overlay any oem color and you don't have to buy a complete dash kit, just console overlay if you want. http://www.exoticwooddash.com/

Overlay attaches with 3M tape. Simple and nice looking.

yes we are heading to cruise the alley in indy
great place to have the show its all set up like and old
sinclair gas station and work shop . the linder technical
services people bend over backwards for us for anything we
need. and of course you are less then a mile from the greatest
speedway in the world and you can hear them going around the track
the indy cruisers joni&andy wallman do a great job running
the show and the $$ raised go for a very good cause to say the
least . hope to you can make it

rdruner- My wife, daughter and I will be at Cruise the Alley this weekend. This will be my first PT event. I used to go to a lot of Neon events but have since sold that car. We have patriot blue touring edition with chrome "peel and stick" grill.
