Thanks for the help. I have the connector, I just need to know how to get at the back of the radio and un-plug the antenna wire to use the connector. My hand is to big to get in there
and I'm looking for some kind of shortcut.Neil M. ![]()

Neil,
You are going to have to take the radio out. 1) Remove the 4 AC knobs (can be a pain) 2) pry out the window switch box (from top dead center) and disconnect switch from harness (slide red switch lock and pull harness) 3) Remove screw in trim plate behind where the window switch box used to be (up on top, dead center) 4) Carefully pry trim plate from dash 5) remove 4 screws holding in radio & pull from the dash 2002 & newer PTs use a different antenna (non-Motorola end). Make sure you get the right adapters. Scott

Thanks Joshypt.......[^]I had been trying to get up the nerve to tear the dash apart to get the radio out as ElectricBlueGT had sugested and Jimbo had encourged me to then I saw your post. I went out in the garage and dropped the panel that contains the glove compartment then the panel to the right and BINGO......
there's the cable and the connector. Wow, how easy and quick. As usual the wonderful folks on this forum pulled through with good information again. Thanks All.[^] Neil MacDonald
