Default Does a mattress fit in the back area of a PT cruise?

Hi!

I am about to buy a used PT Cruiser. And I am thinking about being able to put a mattress of any kind (air, real, whatever...) in the back area to do some little trips and have the option to sleep inside for a night or two.

Has anybody tried it before? have any pic?

Thanks!!

Absolutely! I take road trips frequently in the summer! I had a basic twin sized mattress that fit pretty well with the Rear Seats out, your rear trunk privacy deck(I have no idea what to call it) covering the rear floor pans and the front seats pushed forward! You can sleep one comfortably with the rear hatch closed!!! I recently got an air mattress that actually fills in the rear floor pans and has built in pillows surrounding the head of the mattress. I'll try and post a pic later!
