That's a "starter switch" like they used to have on cars and trucks. I have it hooked up to my ahooga horn. By using that type of switch I didn't need to add a relay to the circuit.

My dash has flames and pin-stripes coordinated with the exterior custom paint on my car. [8D] I'm still looking for a molded center console dash kit piece to blend in with the "shadow dot" pattern--so far, no luck. I hope that Rapid Craft gets back into business soon!

how much would it cost me to just take out the center myself (and the lower center console,) and have them painted? I've got a motorcycle, and painting the tank alone costs a mint. But they have to mask all sorts of stuff...

lemme know if anyone knows,

I took out the floor console myself and took it to the the shop. They charged $40 to match the pewter color. It was another $200+ to fill the holes with billit stuff and change the shifter.

PS. Crewzin- it's the best look I've seen yet. Is there a trick to getting the center floor thing off?

yeah, yank the parking brake ahndle AS FAR BACK AS YOU CAN!!!!!!! Then it is a breeze to remove it from there, once you have all the screws removed...
Mine is getting painted black on the top half and silver on the bottom half and will have red tribal flames running through the midlle of it, just like my exterior paint job....

BigPhil is right about the handbrake, the further you can pull it up, the easier it is to get the floor console off. The only other problem I had was figuring how to get those wires separated from those darn rear window switches and the front electrical outlet.

Wires? that suddenly sounded scary. Big Phil, post pics when you get a chance... Anyone have pics of Woodview or Benevento flat and molded dash kits intstalled in their own cruisers?

I got my center cover from surf city cruisers in Huntington Beach,CA. They have a website, but for some reason it is not working rightnow ;( They also cover the whole dash and lower console to match color. That is next on my list!
