Default Repair question

I've included a picture because I'm not sure of the actual name of this part. Obviously it has a crack. Is that fixable or should I be looking for a replacement? Is it easily replaced? Skill set wise I work on my '64 Beetle, but it's a little more straight forward.

It's the center console bezel. And it's very easy to replace.

Pry out the power window switch with a plastic trim tool so you don't scar it up. Behind that is a single phillips screw that needs to be removed. After that, you pull off the AC knobs. Then you can just pull the bezel off. It just snaps back into place. On 2001 and some 2002 models, the taupe paint tends to peel. Salvage yards are full of PT's with taupe interiors. So just get one from a 2003 or newer model (2003 thru 2005). If like in my areas, it will cost under $20.

I repaired mine with a light coat of JB Weld. Let it sit overnight, sanded it and painted it. Looks good, if I do say so myself.

Go to your local U-pull-it and grab a good one. They are CHEAP.

JBweld also makes a flexible parts repair for plastic. If you don't want to paint. You can clean the back side with dawn and let it dry. Then scuff well with 80 grit. Get you a small peace of fiberglass screen. Mix up some JB and put on a coat. Then add the screen over top of that push it in. Then put the rest over top. Tape the peace from the out side to hold the crack closed right before applying the patch. Then if you run across one. Get it. That color isn't that common.

There is also a two part epoxy called plastic weld. I have used it in the past to repair the same part on my Nissan Quest.
