Default Unusual dash?

I saw this on blue first gen turbo in a yard today.

I have only seen body color matching dashes. What's up with this? I think they are cool looking.

As far as I've ever seen, those dash inserts only came in the 2003 GT. The 2004/2005 GT's only got silver dash inserts.

You should have gotten the VIN and then pull the Build Sheet for that PT, it may give some insight on that pattern/option.

Here is from a Motor Trend article on the '03 PT and the GT dash has the pattern, just as you stated:

That was you wasn't it, you were trudging through a salvage yard on a sweaty Texas July day

It wouldn't have helped anyway, just as Todd said it was the standard pattern on the '03 GT.

I was there delivering a pallet of oil dry and it was next to the building.

It's got those COOL pedals.

I know it's been asked before, do they fit my '01?

Makes sense. My car has got them. I'm not sure if they are faux carbon fiber or faux snake. I don't have the cool pedals though.

You could put perforated window vinyl over it and then paint and remove it if you like that effect
