Default Suddenly... no front windows

Were working fine when I drove home earlier. Went out a bit later and nuffink - neither front window moves...

The backs open and close fine, using either the dashboard switches or the back seat switches.

I suppose I should count myself lucky they were closed when they went tits up

Any ideas what I should be looking for? Is there a fuse or something?

Muchus grassy arse

My son had the same problem with the front windows on his gen one PT and swapped out the control switches. His early 2001 Gen one didn't even have the back window switches in the rear of the console. Not having a Gen two PT I can only suggest to check the fuses. But I'd think one fuse would service both front and back windows. I'm glad yours are up and not down. Metaphorically speaking of course.

Happy PTin', ptprice

My car does that sometimes too, I looked into it and Iíve came to conclusion that itís the wiring itself because some days it works and some days it doesnít. My windows sometimes wonít go down but when I press the up button they go up and you can hear the motor trying to make the window go up even tho itís fully up. I sometimes just press the up and down button when it doesnít want to go down and then all of a sudden it goes down when I press it. The windows will still go up even if you canít get them to go down.

That sounds like a switch with dodgy contacts - tried dropping it out and giving it a clean with some contact cleaner? Might just be crudded up inside.
