Exclamation Window Switches.

So my 2001 only has 4 total window switches, Front window switches are on the dash with the lock out switch, and the back windows are on the rear of the center console. Is this normal? Shouldn't I have 4 switches on the dash for control of all windows from the drivers seat?

I think they changed them mid-year.

You have one of the earliest PT's

What is the Build Date of your PT? It should be on the sticker on the drivers door.

The window switch has been mentioned in this thread, as well as several others throughout the forum:

The early 2001's have a master window switch that only controlled the two front windows. You have to reach back to the switch on the back of the center console to open the rear windows.

And my Cruiser came with the rails for the passenger side underseat drawer, but no drawer. I picked one up at a later date and dropped it right in.

Wiring is considerably different
Major DIY project
Perhaps you could salvage wiring harnesses from a junk yard and replace the dash and the required body wiring harnesses

My build date is 03-2000, so I'm assuming I have an early first Gen. I will not be trying to swap it over lol, I'm too lazy.

I wouldn't either, I mean, how many times do you or would you really roll down the rear windows (from the front seat) that for those few times that you would from the front seat, that it's not that much of an inconvenience to reach around to the back of the console to reach the switches.

IMO, too little gain for how much work it would require.

I like to crack all 4 windows in the summer to keep the interior from exploding from the greenhouse effect. In the summer, climbing into the car at 105 ambient on the inside is a little easier to get into compared to 120+ so I'm glad I have access to all 4 windows in one location.

On a similar note, my right front window switch has a "A" on it and it automatically goes down all the way with a momentary press of the switch. That's really screwy because usually the driver's side window ought to do that (for opening the window at toll booths etc.)
