Default Left and Right Seat Covers Interchangable?

I've noticed that many driver's seats take a beating along the edge, but the passenger seat is only lightly worn. Seems true of both the seat and back covers.

Is it possible to use a passenger-side cover(s) on the driver's seat?

On 2005, yes...other years, don't know since I only have 1 PT Cruiser.

Looks like I have a new "must have" from the pick-n-pull.

The first generation PT seats bottoms are interchangeable. Not just the covers but the assembly. In fact the replacement set on SOOO BIG was a find for under $150.00 at our local salvage yard.
At the time there were a few PT's with identical sets in the yard so part by part, I got the "pick of the litter". The same day I picked up a second drawer base unit for the driver's seat.
So why go through the trouble of recovering when you can just swap 'em out?
