How do you remove it without breaking anything????

Jimbo,

Just take your time. BigPhil has it right about the E-brake (as far up as it will go). BigDogDad pointed out the thread when I was first trying it. Believe it or not, the hardest part for me was trying to figure out how to disconnect the switches that control the rear windows. Broke one of the darn things before I finnally figured it out..you need 3 small hands, and ice pick and a hammer! (just kidding...about the hammer)

Just to add to the above. On some PT's, you may have to disconnect the parking brake cable from below to get enough clearance from pulling the parking brake handle. Also, you may have to remove one or both of the arm rests. Have even seen a few people remove one seat, but it is recommended that you drain the electrical system before you do that to avoid possibly setting off the air bags. The rear window switch panel can be popped out and the harness disconnected before loosening/lifting the console.

on a completely unrelated and anal retentive note. in the pic on this post hte shifter is upside down!!! on an 8 ball the small part of the 8 faces up!

the hardest part for me was getting the stupid wire to disengage from the cig lighter....there are 2 little prongs on either side that need to be mashed in

Also, slide the front seats All the way back, and Recline them all the way, and move the armrests up and out of the way
