The paint on my shift ball was scratched. The original paint job was pretty poor; the paint scratched right off easily. So I removed all of the original silver paint and sanded the ball smooth, something that wasn't done before the original paint job. I painted the ball with Charcoal Metalic paint and then put on 8 coats of clear Polyurethane to protect it. Now it matches the interior of my '03 GT.
![]() The pic does not do justice to the finished paint job but should give you an idea of what it looks like. I may buy another ball and do something wilder so I'll have a choice of colors to match my moods. BB |
