Default Gas level/gaugage

How is readed the scale of the gas level/gaugage?

According to the specs. my GT has a 57lt gas tank, so with some
calcs when going to the gas station i guess (counting from the red mark):

1st mark = 1/8 tank
2nd mark = 1/4 tank
3rd mark = 1/2 tank
4th mark = Full tank (duh! [|)])

Is the gas level/gaugage so sensitive or something is wrong with the sensor?

When the level is arround to the 1st mark and the surface where i'm driving/parking is inclined to keep the front of the car high enough for the gas level to drop to the red mark, the gas light turns on and dings, after reaching a leveled surface, the gaugage slowly (and i mean slowly enough to be noted) returns to the "supposed" level but the gas light remains on until the next refill.

thanxs!

Mine does the same thing. Needle drops going up a steep hill, and once the gas light comes on, it only goes off with a refill, even when needle is above 1/8.

Try removing the gas cap and then reinstalling. Maybe it's pressurized, just a thought .

A tip from MX 2: Never let the gas gauge get below 1/4 tank. The fuel pump is IN the tank, the fuel keeps it cool. If it goes out the whole tank MUST be pulled out to replace the pump.[xx(]
