2002 Touring edition seat question

Have to ask the masses since my car isn't here yet - do the 2002 Touring front seats have plastic back on both sides or only on the fold flat passenger seat?

I have a 2002 Cruiser and only have the hard table surface on the back of the passenger seat.

If anyone has a 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser color advertising booklet (available at your Chrysler dealer) - page 15 clearly shows the hard table surface on the back of the passenger seat and THE DRIVERS SEAT????

Anyone else notice this? I actually checked the 2002 Cruiser seatbacks when they first came out and saw that none of them had the driver's seat table backs like the booklet... hmmmmm????

I have a 2002 Limited Edition (with leather seats). Both seat backs are identical -- hard plastic with net inserts to hold maps and such. Perhaps the cloth seats have different backs?

OK...question time. Why would you want the hard seat back on the driver seat? I have a 2001 with leather. Both seat-backs are the same, flat surface with a net halfway up. Only the passenger seat can fold flat to take advantage of the flat surface and give extra room for an 8 foot long object to fit inside with the rear hatch shut. The drivers seat only tilts forward a few inches so why worry if you don't have the hard table surface on the drivers seat? <img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle>

If you are in the back seat, looking forward, I think it makes sense to have both front seats look the same. The cargo nets are handy on both seats (especially for back seat passengers). Also, it's probably easier and cheaper to manufacture one type of seat back, rather than two different ones. It makes sense (at least to me) to have them match.
