Good evening.

I've got a Wood Dash Door kit that I'm going to be installing this weekend.

The instructions call for the use of 3M Prep-SOL 70 to prepare the door material for the tape used to install this kit.

Where can I find this or is there something that I can use in place of it that will give me the same resutls?

You can most likely get it at an auto paint store or one of the larger auto parts stores. It's a mild solvent that won't damage paint or plastic. Alcohol is often used also. You must scrub off all oil from fingerprints, polish, vinyl treatments, etc. for the tape to stick well. Any products that may contain silicone need to be removed also.

I have always used rubbing alchohol with good results. Technically I think it is called Isopropyl.

Yes, it is and this product has worked well for me.
