Default ROCKETMAN MOD'S

Well my friends! I got a lot of people asking me to start a thread about the MOD's I have done to my car! Well here I am trying to share some of them with you! I hope you like them! First one Im sharing is the back up sensors I install on the car! I got the system from ebay very cheap so here are some pictures!

The sensors came black so I got my guy paint them factory color so it look factory!

I install the system in the rear door!

Here is why I install the system in the rear door so you could see it form the rear view mirrow! The instalation of the wires goes in the rear back up lights and it only took 15 minutes to be install and operational!

Here are pictures when I did my rear door light MOD!!! I got the idea from Jerry so this is how it came up!!!

First I got a dome light from a 01 for $20.00 in a junk yard!
imgIMG_0018.jpg
Then I made the mod on the rear door cover!

After the installation I put a LED lighting to match my other interior lights!

imgIMG_0029.jpg
After everything was funtional I have the dome light painted the factory color of the interior to match the color of the rear door cover so again it looks factory!

One of the first things I started to do with the car when I got it was to change the interior lights color to blue LED's also to install the gauges but I wanted them to look like it came from the factory!

Sorry you can not see the picture of this MOD but I found a GT gauges that are silver to match my new gauges and are the ones I install the LED's blue!

I found the LED's also for the AC knobs so it could match everything from the radio all the way to the new gauges!

The pod in the dash was painted also factory color to match and is funny how everybody that rides in my car for the first time and doesnt know about PT"s always ask me 2 things! 1) Does this car come Turbo from the factory? and 2) Does it comes wih the gauges too? LOL!!!
imgIMG_0006.jpg
The pods for the turbo was painted factory color too!

Here is a MOD that does'n cost a lot of money but it will improve the look of the car very much! PAINTING the rear view mirrors!

Now to make sure it came up good and did look factory I took the time to take them off and sand them down so the surface could be smoth, factory look!!!

Fantastic job on all your mods. I like the back up sensors, but so far I just can't bring myself to drill holes in my car! But I like the idea of putting the viewer on the back door though

Thanks to XtrmDC2 I found the rear sway bar from a first generation PT! For some reason Chrysler did not install this on new PT's specially on the Turbos that you really need them! I got all the hardware from Chrysler and upgraded the bushings!

Wow, You are a man of many talents! As I said on other threads, you're not afraid to jump in where others haven't gone and everything you do, you do well. I like that!!!

RTTB isn't in the cards this year, but I'll be there with you all in spirit.

Am I remembering correctly that you have aftermarket blue hoses on your engine? Just curious.

Jerry
