I was thinking that too. The photo is a little misleading too due to the floor being tapered to a floor drain and the opposite side sits higher making it appear worse than it really is. Side by side, the narrow tires were only about an inch shorter.

have at it! hell if you have MH slicks you have more than enough traction anyways.

i'm planning to cut a coil off the front of my rustang here soon. i did it to my last one and besides appearance, i couldn't tell a difference. the car sat better, still lifted on launch and felt the same driving around.

Now with the PT, both ends of the rear coils are Pigtailed (Thanks NitroPT for letting me know that!)
I talked to my Brother in Law who is a Mechanic and he was saying we can still cut and heat to make our own pigtail end. I'm just not sure how much it will fatigue the springs?!

I like my redneck fix of clamping the coils to close them up. You wouldn't even have to remove them to do it. You could even chain the axle to the body to limit the travel, but this will have a much harsher ride. lol

Had a couple minutes today, so stripped the Drivers front door, removed the plastic trim on the seat bottom and back, removed instrument cluster trim panel, fuse panel cover/power mirror adjuster trim panel, and bought a pair of LCA with the ES Bushings for 40 dollars (Ball Joints need replacing). These came out of an NSRT4

It would be interesting when you are done to weigh all the parts removed.

It would for sure, but i doubt Ill have time to though :-( I promised a fellow PT enthusiest all of the Interior pieces that I remove so they will be gone soon. I will try to weigh the car when I've finished taking things out to get a ballpark figure of how much weight was removed though :-)

Oil fill cap Looks a little sludgy, I have no history on this car other than its lasted 315000kms so far, so I dumped a half can of Seafoam into the oil, and the other half into the gas. I'm running it this coming Saturday for some datalogs, then going to change the oil. I use Rotella T6 5w40 in my CSRT4 and have had great luck with it, so will use it in the PT as well.

You could shave off another 20 or so pounds by getting rid of the sunroof and assembly. You would have an ugly hole though.

I do have some polycarbonate sheets kicking around that I could cut to put in place of the sunroof if I get that far. The sunroof doesn't work, so it probably should come out :-)
