Picked up this for next year. Just have to figure out if I can tap into the tach wire for the cluster and which wire it is lol

if i were you i would call MSD tech line or use the MSD tech support forum. they're GREAT at stuff like this. for my prelude i needed a tach adaptor, part 6212, and also a ballast resistor. i'd assume a PT is similar. for my rustang i just use the green coil (-) wire. call MSD though. online they'll tell you the right way. by phone they'll tell you the right way and the wrong way. i bug them anytime i need assistance with any weird stuff like this.

likely preaching to the choir as you probably know these cars far better than me (:

When I ran the OLD school SUN tach for fun a couple years ago I went directly off the coil pack and used a tach input signal adapter.

I just looked mine was #8910. Maybe because the PT like my other ignition system car are both waste spark system that use the same style coil pack.

are you planning to duct tape the pieces back together after you're done carving?

I jb welded a Civic intake I cut open to port. I sliced the top off though, not cut in half/structural, and no boost. Always expected it to fail one day but it outlasted the car.

I purchased pints of JB Weld to fill a Super Charger lower case area to increase the blower whine sound . I am not Kidding on this !
