The new stereo and the updated PCM look fantastic! Really beautiful, both of them. And I am humbled and honoured to be mentioned on your beautiful PCM.

This evening, I got around to installing my OBDII Bluetooth device to use with my new ATOTO A6 stereo.

I think this thing is going to be SUPER COOL!

It works with the Torque Pro app I downloaded for $4.99 from the Google App Store.

This think basically gives me an Autoguage and DPIC all rolled into one. My stereo can now calculate horsepower. You can't be that with a stick!

I can datalog as well.

Of course, I will have real time access to OBDII data such as CEL's and sensor readiness.

And my steering wheel control for my stereo works pretty well too.

So far, I'm REALLY loving this new Android stereo.

Now you will need to go get you PT accurately weighed... at a licensed state weigh station or equivalent.

"When" you do I think you will as I did and go whaaaaaaaat?
I did mine with no rear seat, no brackets, no spare tire or brackets, short custom exhaust and it came up heavier by hundreds then the 05 GT ATX specification listed anywhere!!!!!

Also don't be surprised that if you accurately set the base line information that your PT does not exactly come to expectations and realizing that advertised factory power claims are swayed to impress and not normally found in the real world.

I do like your new OBDII information access and display "TOY" !

We have a set of scales at work. They're from 1943 with the little scale shack and all. It's too small to weigh modern trucks but works great on cars. You drive on them and then go in and move the weights on three rails like on old doctor's scales. It gets an annual calibration from TMDE so it's very accurate. I can get it within a pound or two on someone's body weight by weighing a car with and without the driver.

Last item for this project is on the way.

I will be interested how your Vert PT compares?

I will post my when you do yours. slip #25541. I know without a doubt accurate considering it is from a CA State Certified Weigh-master.

That sounds more like a yoga instructor license to me. But okay. Next time I drive my vert to work I'll see what I can do. It's going to be somewhere around 3,500 lbs give or take.

Thumbs up Re: Handy's New Turbo Convertible PT Project!

I really like that setup... can the OBDII Bluetooth device provide pass-through for an Ultra-gauge?

Or can it use the radio display in similar ways?

I really like the ultraguage just as my speedo, because in the summer I can't really see the dash speedo with sunglasses on.

I wonder if ATOTO makes a 'flip-out-panel' version that would retrofit into my 1st-gen dash? My current (winCE) radio is getting a little long in the tooth...

That's funny...

Oh they are real...

I am sure you know about trucks loading and State vehicle codes regarding GVW? This place many of have used for years having more to do with our track cars then street cars. But some times it is more prudent to go here with a modified street car then to a CHP weigh station...if you catch my meaning? LOL
