Picked up "Retro" at the body shop. Lift gate is all filled and painted and looks great - should really clean up the looks of the back of the car.

I'm taking the dash parts to Mac the Knife this weekend to be striped. Mac has been doing this for years and does great work! Can't wait to see the end result!!!

Looking like it's coming along great. Can't wait to see it finished.

Me too! Gonna be a little bit though...

I picked up these halo headlights on ebay a month or so ago. They are a little modern looking given the theme of the car, but I am hoping they will look cool under the headlight eyebrows I have...

Got my stainless strips for the lift gate in the mail yesterday. They look great. Now I just have to get them on the car...

Did my new steering wheel install this weekend. Hardest part was the removal of the airbag. There are clips on the wheel that the airbag lock into. These need to be spread apart to pull the bag off. In the end, I found prying one end out with a screwdriver and then spreading the other was the most effective. Once I got that done, the rest was a piece of cake...

Here are the pics of the removal and install:

I love how the new wheel looks - can't wait to get the rest of the dash together!!!

Maybe I missed it somewhere, but how are you going to open the rear lift gate since you removed the handle?

A guy makes them - does a nice job. Search on PT Cruiser halo headlights on ebay and you will see him. He even went out of the way to paint mine gloss black inside. They look great! I'll post up pics when I get to installing them...

On the convertible, the handle is simply a place to lift the gate up - not like the hatch where it is also the release. Since the release is on the remote, I'll simply need to grab the edge of the gate instead. I'll be adding door poppers (like they use on streetrods) and will post the pics when I get them in...

Now why couldn't they do that with the Gen2 and eliminate the touchpad switch which will eventually fail!
