It's another great week of racing on Hot Wheels Calgary YouTube channel! And I think it's going to be even better with the change that was made.. I think the track runs smoother and faster now!

Yeah.. I know i didn't get the races posted here most of last week... sorry about that... was a busy crazy week..but hopefully this week will work better!

What a busy day! Including picking cars 108 to 114 this morning and then getting an email sponsoring 5 more cars for the Birdco 1000! Plus 5 more cars are on the way here.. so 114+5=119+5=124... meaning there is only 4 empty spots left to enter the Birdco 1000! Better be quick if you want in! Email me at hotwheelscalgary@shaw.ca!

Well.. here we are at the deadline for entries for the Birdco 1000 and we have a full 128 car bracket.. in fact there might be a race in or two.. but it will depend on the mail service..

Yesterday was a day of shoveling and digging out after a massive snowfall in Calgary.. it was Ton Of Snow Tuesday! So I apologize for not sharing the daily race with you folks. But today that means you get a double feature!

Btw, don't forget on Christmas day there's Festive 64 Car FTE Free For All premiering on Hot Wheels Calgary YouTube Channel! Nothing says Christmas like a 64 car tournament!

I'm not the most poetic person, but I hope you enjoy this... and I hope you also enjoy the 64 Car FTE Free For All tomorrow at 12 noon Mountain Time on Hot Wheels Calgary YouTube Channel!

And after this little bit of fun, is today's race!


Twas the day before Christmas
And all through the house
All Hot Wheels racing, even one that looked like a mouse.
The track parts were laid out with love and with care,
In hopes that some racing soon would be there.
The cars were nestled all snug in their cases,
While they had visions of winning all of the races;
And Aaron in his pjs, and he don't wear cap,
Had just settled down for a long winter's nap,

When out on the track there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the Hot Wheels room I did take flight
Tore open the door and threw on the lights

The lights shone on the track were kind of low
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature car and 63 more to its rear.

I felt right away that a tourny would be a ball,
I knew in a moment it must be the FTE Free For All.
More rapid than eagles,the race cars they came,
And I whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

"Now, Caddie! now, Spocket! now, Cuda and 300 !
On, Camaro! on GTO! on,DeLorean and all the others!
To the top of the track! to the first turn!
Now race away! Race away! Race away all!"

And then, in a twinkling, I heard not from afar
The crashing and bashing of each little car
As I drew back my hand, and was starting the next race,
Down the first straight the came at a pace.

I was dressed all in pj's, from my head to my foot,
And my clothes were all new with tags still afoot
A bundle of cars I had set at side track,
And I looked like a big kid just opening a 20 pack.

My eyes -- how they twinkled! My dimples how merry!
My cheeks were like roses, my nose like a cherry!(I was fighting cold..again not really.. work with me here..)
My droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the stubble of my chin was as white as the snow;

The string to the start gate I held tight in my hand
And the excitement was building, almost more than I could stand;
I had a happy face and a little round belly,
That shook, when I laughed like a bowlful of jelly.

I was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw racing, in spite of myself;
A wink of my eye and a twist of my hand,
Soon gave me to know I was having more fun than one man could stand;

I spoke plenty a word, but also kept up my work,
And filled all the track; then turned with a jerk,
And laying my hand aside of my head,
A car came off, you'd think it was dead;

I sprang to my 'puter, to upload the race,
And away to the internet it flew with great pace.
At the end of the video you can hear me exclaim, ere i called it a night,
HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A HAPPY HOT WHEELING!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas weekend! I did! Back to work for a few days now and then come this Friday it's finally time for the Birdco 1000 Mail In Pinks Race!! 2 tracks... 128 cars each track.. the 2 winners will Duke it out on Birdco Pass! Plus the half time show is the Toy Angels Toy Drive Charity Race! That's a lot of diecast racing! I hope you'll tune in!
