Also, my door inside door handles still worked. But I also installed a push button on the dash to open the doors so I didn't use the handles much.
Here is a pic of the Bug I was talking about...pic is a little bad.

Here's a closer shot of the gray.

I noticed the hat. I believe we may have something in common

Since it was brought up in another thread about the rear seats, are you going to remove the rear seats in the panel van and make the entire rear floor somewhat of a flat surface?

I can't imagine anyone riding in the rear seats, they won't be able to see anything.

No, I will keep the seats in.
With the seats tipped forward, even my golf clubs can lay straight in.
That's all the room I will conceivably need in the future!
Unless I open a carpet cleaning business.

After playing golf today, I was already on that side of town, so I swung by the body shop.

Last week I had asked them to "step it up a little"!
He said he had put a full day into grinding all the welding on the right rear quarter window, and mudding it in.

Now, on to the driver's side.
This is the window welding is the most work left.
Blocking, primer, and paint won't take all that much work.

I've seen someone build a "false floor" section for the boot (trunk!) area over here, with a carpeted lockable lid, so that with the seats down you get a flat load area, with a secure "box" in the rear section.

Looked pretty cool :-)
