As a last resort.

I know that feeling
It is actually a Morette plant in Spain.
So, it sounds to me like the whole Brexit thing is pissing a few EU bureaucrats off!

After 2 weeks of calls to UPS Export/Import Offices on both sides of the Atlantic; and many insults thrown at UPS on their Facebook Page....

I am told that there may yet be good news coming on the Morette headlight bezels.
Morette finally got the Barcelona UPS Export Brokerage Office to wake up!
Stay tuned!!!!

Heat did the job! Roll pan now straight!

i finally have some timeto work on the rollpan, gonna test fit it and once i figure out how its gonna go, I'll paint it then put it on.

I'm guessing, i should prime it before paint? I've never painted car parts with car paint. Just plasti dip.

I will now NOT BE disappointed at all if Morette gives up on shipping the headlight bezels to me. For about the same price as the Morette bezels alone.......
lovet those... But the $300 tag isn't appealing.

On super bright leds .com they sell a kit that's very similar, but WAY cheaper. And you would have to experiment on a pair of headlights. They have tutorial vids, and even though it seems time consuming, it doesnt look difficult.

Yikes! Good to read that. Lets cross finges that UPS manages to get them out now.

Personally I dont like the coloured headlights, plus they would be illegal around here. Lights pointed forward have to be white, older cars may be allowed to use yellow if the were equipped so from the factory.

White is what I would go with anyway.
As the PT panel theme is black and Gray.

OK! SO FINALLY....

The Morette headlight bezels package is back in the hands of Morette - out of Barcelona Customs Jail.

Hopefully will find a more competent shipping method....as UPS SUCKS IN BARCELONA!

Yesterday dropped off the panel Cruiser to a body shop of a car club friend.
Needed some buffing attention the painter did not give it in 2 tries.
Picked her back up again this afternoon.
All is well with overspray and untouched places.
She tried to not charge me anything!
I would have no part of it!
Will use them the next time I need repairs or paint!

Next, the AM Racing wheel demo should be in tomorrow.
Will fit to see if I need spacers.

Cool Re: SOONERCRUISER's Panel Van Conversion

BORED as heck, waiting for Morette to get back in their shop.
Last week they did get the headlight bezels package back from Customs Jail in Barcelona.
But...they were at some big show all week long.

Soooo....
I moved along with the Panel Van mods.
She came back from the body repair shop with the grill and PTeazer Smoothie bumper looking great.
Although, I had to remove the grill and adjust the inside flanges to catch the body edges better.
They left one side pouched out a little, as one flange wasn't catching the bumper/body edge.

First today was recouping the back-up camera.

They encountered some type of electrical glitch at the body shop, that killed the battery, and took out the radio.
Once I got the replacement radio installed...THE BACK-UP CAMERA WASN'T WORKING EITHER...."no signal"!

A call to tech support for the camera revealed that any voltage spikes high enough that kill a radio, likely also kills the little camera as well.

New camera installed...all is well!

Then, Second...on to the front body side reflectors that I had modified, in anticipation of the Morette headlight bezels being Euro Style - with no side reflectors.

I bought a set of inexpensive side-reflectors for an Audi that looked to be a good curvature match to my wheel wells.
Then, I ground down their back sides with the round studs for screws, and the extra thickness where they recess into the Audi body.
So, I was left with just the reflectors, and a thin layer of supporting black plastic.

Then I prepped the back side of the reflectors and the bumper with an adhesion promoter pen, and placed wide 3M mounting tape on the back of the reflectors.
I have a very sharp pair of scissors to trim off the excess 3M tape over the edges.
