I had to try to feel good about something today, after the bad news from Morette.

So, I checked, and my AR Racing Torque Thrust wheels were in!
Had them Mounted, balanced, etc.
Surprisingly, with 10mm less back space THEY FIT and do not rub anywhere.
Although they are VERY CLOSE. So, I might just get half inch spacers to give a little safe room.

What do you think??
Unlike visually, the dark blue, gray skies give them a little bluish cast.

In the various places that you can order or look at these wheels...
They are described as "Gray", "Anthracite", or "Gun Metal".
But they are all this color wheel.
The only other option is BLACK!

Note: Caliper clearance with 10mm more offset/back spacing.

Although the new Am Racing Torque Thrust wheels fit fine as mounted.....I think I would like a little more free space around the front calipers.

OEM = 35mm offset; Am Racing Torque Thrust wheels = 45mm offset.

That is no problem with the smaller rear brake calipers.

But a little too close for comfort for me on the fronts.
Especially if you (accidentally) hit a good pot hole or something that would force a spinning wheel against the front calipers.

So, I've got some 1/2 inch hub-centric spacers coming.

Definitely a Black Caliper if I do have to replace or upgrade.

OK!
So I guess that I must accept the inevitable
, and just write-off Morette in Spain for my headlight Mod project.

It's been almost another 2 weeks since I have heard a peep from Harold at Morette.; even about "organizing" a refund.

Harold keeps complaining about all the cost of failed shipping, and what his "MD" thinks.
But, last week I did a search of the company in the UK shows that "Harold O'Connor" IS THE OWNER!!! DUH!

ON TO PLAN B:
I have ordered a set of the "Custom Halo Creations" single color, white, blacked-out PT headlight assemblies.
I have him installing a larger (biggest he can fit on that side) 80mm Halo ring for the high beam area.
That way, I can still mod the high beams into a 60mm Hella Projectors.
With the dimension of the outer protective ring on the lens, it will still be a very tight fit.

These are the lowest cost Halos that he does. $295
As you can get color-shifting Halos; and headlights with both Projector lights.
**But, those run upwards to the $800 costs of the Morette complete assemblies.

Red face Re: SOONERCRUISER's Panel Van Conversion

So, as Yogi said....." IT AIN'T OVER, UNTIL IT'S OVER"!!!

Are more heartaches in the offing for me?????

I no sooner gave up on the Morette headlight masks after not hearing from Harold for another 2 weeks, WHEN HE LAST SAID HE WOULD "ARRANGE A REFUND"......

So, I ordered the Standard while Halo PT Assemblies from "Custom Halo Creations".

Not even an hour later, NOT EVEN AN HOUR LATER, I GET A MESSAGE FROM HAROLD AT MORETTE....."The bezels are one the way, and should be here in about a week!!!!!!!! Pay me when they arrive!"

It's been 3 months! 3 MONTHS!
Oh Dear!
