Cool SOONERCRUISER's Panel Van Conversion

Well, "IT" BEGINS!!!

First things first...
I clay barred the whole car, and gave her a coat of Ice Wax this weekend.

Then I ordered some replacement reverse lights on eBay, and installed them Monday.
The "smoked" lenses that were on her didn't allow even enough light to illuminate the concrete behind her when the back-up camera was on.

Today, I had to go to a local shop to get the lug nuts loosened, as the previous owner let someone waaaayyyy over-torque them.
Then, when I removed them, the hubs were rusted onto the wheels too!

So, I then took the front wheels off, and on the passenger side replaced the dead horn.
While I was in those areas, I pulled the fog lamps, and sanded and clear-coated them.
Headlamp lenses gonna need the same.

Eventually I'm gonna need to replace the instrument cluster bulbs with LEDs.
I can hardly read the gauges at night.
I did this on my 2005 GT convertible also.

Looks great, Frank. I love the two tone paint scheme on some of the PT's I've seen. Can you post a good pic of the front end? That grille kind of reminds me of a Chrysler 300.

I love that two tone, silver on top/black on bottom paint job! I've only ever seen it the other way around which is what I was planning to do to mine, if I ever could afford a full paint job.

Now you got me thinking...

Actually it's a Audi VW Gray on top!
I they have to too much to do with the paint, I was thinking of converting to PS2 - Silver metallic on top.
Here's a closer shot of the gray.

Chuzz,

It's the PTeaser Roadstar grille, painted black.
Kinda goes with the color theme.
Red pinstripe is too hard to see.
