Default Project Slug: from $500 PoS to road worthy not so PoS.

Figured I would condense all my ramblings and psychotic thoughts into a single Project post. For anybody that's not seen my original post, I bought an 01 for 500 bucks that had an engine management issue. Previous owner thought it was a misfire, oh boy was that wrong. I won't get into the details here, but it's fixed and road worthy plated, tagged, insured and it's been my daily for about a month now. Plans are to fix what I can and drive it till it shits itself.

Haha this post made me laugh! I actually did the same thing. Bought an 03 POS and with minimal effort put it back on the road. I actually intended to flip it but now It's my daily driver/winter beater and junkyard cruiser. lol

Makes me happy that I'm not the only one willing to take a PoS and fix it up . I've made a few good junkyard finds as well. Found an intact parcel shelf with table leg, and today I found a perfect condition original Mopar spoiler on an 02, in black. And it's going on mine this weekend .

Me too!

The asking price on mine was $500 but I told the young lady I've give her a $1,000 if she could get her friends (daycare owners) that gave her the car to find the title.

Be sure and post some photo! I want to see your machine come back to life. Here's couple of photos of mine.

Handy that's not fair because the PoS you can buy down south still look like new cars. Mine will always look like a true, rusty, PoS. LOL I will post a picture later.

But your PT's up north are a heartier bunch, surviving in the cold and frozen Canadian tundra

Mines a Northern California native car, not a spot of rust lol. I'll post some pics later, I've still got a lot of work to do on it. Need to respray the Hood, Roof and Hatch, gonna two-tone it, middle panels will be black, side, remain blue. Need to replace front and rear bumper covers. Probably go with a rollpan style for the rear, and just replace the front cause it has a huge hole it it.
