So, now, all the warts on the Convertible are taken care of.

The last was, the retention rails coming loose around the rear window, allowing the headliner to sag down, obstructing your rear mirror view.

I still had most of the rails, but had to construct the top section out of a small "L" shaped aluminum strip I got at the hardware store.
It was a week long+ process, since I felt that the headliner was pretty tight and I needed a good strong bond of the retention rails.

So, I had to use JB Weld Pro, which takes 4-6 hours to fully set.
I did it a section at a time: first the rails themselves. Then using 3 vice grips I had, to hold the liner edges in place while the JB Weld set over night.

Thus about and 8-9 day process.
Not something I ever want to repeat.

Started some electrical work to install new headlight assemblies on My Purple Passion....the vert.

I did try restoring the lenses myself, and thought I did a pretty aggressive job.
But, just being 17 years old, I guess the microcracks are just too deep; as they are still hazy and a little yellow.
The cheap OEM headlight bulbs probably contribute to this.

**I have an extra set of Blacked-edge headlight assemblies with Halo Rings in them.
Actually, I just replaced the LED Halo in one low beam, as the guy who was doing them on a PT facebook page became very ill. He had finally gotten the size ring he need. But, by then he ended up so ill he stopped his business.
He shipped my assemblies and 2 new rings back to me.
So, I looked up how to, and replaced the LED ring myself.
Not all that hard; just time consuming.

**My homemade Morette headlight assembles that I made myself have been working flawlessly now for 2 years on the Panel Cruiser.
This is what I had the second set of assemblies for originally; just in case my DIY Morette project failed.

**So now, I will bequeath the blacked-edge assemblies with Halos to the convertible.



Yesterday, I gave up golf to do some yard work and start the wiring for a dash switch to control the LEDs.
I found a great wire "run" for that switch in a formerly unknow to me hole in the firewall.
** I had removed the plastic driver's side wiper Cowl. And in that empty area below with the wiper arm, on the flat bottom, was a rubber grommet about 3/4 inch across that plugged a hole that opens to the dash area just above the inside fuse box. And there is an additional small rubber plug in the metal edge sticking upwards where the rear engine bay molding goes.
WOW! Was that easy!
Last time I did this, I was using a long steel wire to poke through a hole in the firewall far below that.

So, I've got the ground, power wire, and in-line fuse already installed.
I'll wait until my brighter headlight bulbs arrive to install and hook up the LEDs.

So, yesterday I replace the headlight assemblies and hooked up the LEDs.
