Hey I was looking through the forum for the car not starting. However I did not see one that was an exact match for me and it seems that you are pretty knowledgeable about pt cruisers so I thought that I would send you my problem. I have a 2003 pt non turbo and sometimes it will start and sometimes it won't. it is not cold outside and the battery is fine. I had it and the starter tested at Advanced Auto and they said they both were fine. What I was told though was that it may be a malfunction of the anti-theft system. He explained to me that the car believes it is being stolen and so it refuses to send juice from the battery to turn over the engine. This explains why the dash lights and everything else works just fine. I don't know how true this is but I would like to know your opinion on it. Thank you very much.

Read your post about lowering only the back, do you have any photo showing what this looks like. Could be what I should do. Thanks

Hi. In Nov of '03 you helped a person with what sounds like my problem. I own a '01. Recently I had replaced the thermostat, 4 rotors and brakes, rack and pinion, alternator (the alternator went bad because of some damaged wires). It has been running good for about a week. Out of the blue my engine check light come on and the car stalls. I can restart the car and it idles and will run in reverse. Soon as I put it in drive it stalls. Can you give me any help?

quicksiverdon, this is 2002Gold. Do you have any experience with setting a re-placement clock spring? I purchased a used one from a junk yard. I damaged the original one by rotating my steering wheel past the designed limit of the clock spring. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
