    Thanks for your comments guys, regas has now been done and (at least) the high speed fan works as soon as a/c is on. Don't know about the low speed side of it yet.

    I replaced both low and high speed fan power cables as far back as the fuse box which is probably too far back. Low power fan is on permanently so I've switched it until I have time to do it...

    I've now run another earth from the radiator fan harness but still have no power for low/high speed fan from either of the other pins, as stated previously the fan runs quite happily at both speeds...

    Sorry I should have added this earlier. Sinbad, I checked it too and the water pump change is in section 7. There are lots (and lots) of bits but it's reasonably straightforward.
