Hi Handy, hope all is well. I have been changing the alternator in my 2003 LE without the 2.4 non turbo while following your method. So far so good, alternator is loose and unwired and off the mounts but I cannot get the lower bracket out so I can drop the motor and maneuver the alternator out. There are 3 bolts to get the bracket off. What's the trick to access the 2 bolts at their top of the bracket? Appreciate your help, thanks!

Hey Handy- My daughter hit a deer with her PT in Camden last week. Have you seen any 2006 and up PTs with the grills still in tact in any of the local salvage yards? I just need one of the chrome inserts for the grill for now. Thanks! David

Hey there Handy_Cruiser. Do you have access to the audio wiring diagrams for the Gen 1? I have the Gen 2 books. I'd like to try adding those Premium speakers I got, but I want to make sure that I get the + / - right on the terminals so that the speakers will be in correct phase with each other. All I would need to know is the colors of the wires, and which terminals they're on. I can take it from there.

    Thanks in adavance ...

HI Handy_Cruiser. I saw your detailed post about the " multi-function switch ". Quite nice I must say. In picture #3, I noticed the retainer on top of the battery that accepts the hold-down bar on your PT. I have a 2003 GT Turbo, which has the same set up, & was wondering if you knew where I might obtain one; missing on my vehicle. Thanx in advance. Mike.

    Hi Handy_Cruiser,

No worries. Thanks for getting back to me.
Other than the colors, can you tell me what type of paint it was, please (oil based? acyrlic? latex?)?
    Thank you

    Hi Handy_Cruiser,

My name is Kon. I just joined the forum.

I saw a post from 2014 where you painted your dash to match the interior color of your PT.

My dash is cracked and, rather than install a salvaged one, I plan on getting a coverlay brand cover that fits over the stock dash. The "problem" is that they don't have a direct color match.

Would you mind telling me what type of paint you used to paint your dash?
It looks like I need to paint mine the same color as you did. Do you happen to remember the colors you used and the ratios to achieve the final color? (My eyes can't seem to comprehend whether it's a gray color or brown color. Coverlay offers a medium gray and medium brown. I'm not sure which one to get to see if it's at least a close match before painting).

How has it held up over time?

I hope you don't mind the out of the blue email.

    Thanks, in advance,
