Well for us in FL it looks like we may have another hurricane hit the West Coast. It is forcasted to make way over this weekend starting early Saturday.
Hope everyone in GA, AL, MS, LA and maybe some of TX should also be watching this storm. There is a Bermuda high on the East Coast of FL which may pull the storm to the right heading over FL. I'm staying, so I hope it doesn't turn out any worse the Charley last year. Colby |

Hey King, good to hear from you. Just to refresh some here, the first picture is last year of Hurricane Charley. I live about where the black line ends, King lives just slightly north of me. In this picture Charley is just about where Dennis is right now.
![]() Like King, I am staying put but I am ready. The following pictures are from last year. No need to take new pictures, I am stocked up the same way. All the important things! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I'm taking the optimistic approach to this one. There's a Corvette show in Orlando Saturday and as long as they don't cancel it, I'll be there. Unless Dennis makes a sharp turn toward the west coast, we shouldn't see too much of it....fingers crossed.
I like Bay News Nine's forcast better. ![]()

I was in the thick of it last year. Have some "cool" vids, that I still cant upload.
Here are a few pics of some of the damage. This hurricane, I dont think will hit us. Just get some good wind & ALOT of rain. Hurricane Charley, clocked a 175MPH gust just 2 blocks away from us. If anyone wants I have TONS of pics from Charley, that I can post if you want. All of these trees were ontop of the Jag, which was a total loss( SBC lump). ![]() You DONT want to know how much equip. I had in this shed. None covered by insurance ![]() Liam's room after cleaning it up a bit.

Thought I would post last years Charley and this years Dennis here for you to see the relationships. Charley took a last minute turn for Florida, I hope Dennis doesn't decide to do the same thing. After saying that, Dennis has to go some where so where ever he goes, everyone stay safe!
First picture is Charley, second one is Dennis at about 2PM today. ![]() ![]() All ready starting to rain down by my house the wifey said. Dogs are starting to go bonkers, they can feel it. I'll probably leave soon and go home, first got to pick up some beer though. |

Just relized the weather map of Dennis above updates itself. Cool.
Anyway, I never feared the worst but I did believe that it would be alittle bit worse. Not complaining at all. Been up most the night not by my choice though. The dogs were driving me nuts. Picture dogs with heads bigger then yours trying at the same time to put them under arms for comfort. Then when your so tired and want some sleep, here they come wacking you some where on your body with their big ol' paws. With those claws of theirs and the strength behind them it can hurt in certain areas! Anyway, lucky for me not for others, Dennis just didn't want to go over the mountains forcing him out more in the Gulf of Mexico. I'll still get some of the rain and winds but not as bad. Through out the night its been bad and good. Been getting those outer bands of weather. One minute unbelieveable rains and lighting then nothing, not even wind! The lighting has been bad. Some of them shook the entire house. Everything was rocking and rolling in the house. I thought the dogs eyes were going to pop out. Probably for tomorrows dinner I'll have to wade out to the BBQ on the dock but it won't be the first time. Nothing like a good BBQ! Well for now lets just hope Dennis doesn't pick up too much strength for the next group of people in his path. |
