Thats all this was about. The military is not to blame for anything the gov does. They should be supported.

I did not put this up for political purposes. It was meant as a thank you to the troops. You and QSD turned it into a DNC talk point. After QSD posted his opinion I posted mine. I don't know whay liberals can't just say it is great we have such brave troops without an editorial about the war?

Ummm. My first response was AFTER you posted Your first said quote. You referenced the war..obviously. How is that a thank you to the troops? They are not fighting for this country( as in not DEFENDING this country), they are fighting to GAIN that country. This war is not in defense of our country, they did nothing to us, nor did they have the capability to do so.

I support our troops more than you can imagine. I'm a 100% disabled veteran myself. It the weasel, no good lying sack of sh*t we have for a president, that I dont agree with.

Just because you hate Bush does not change that fact. I dislike Clinton and think we would not be at war had he done his job properly. The troops deserve our thanks and support no matter who is in the Whitehouse or where their boots are on the ground. Period. If that gets your panties in a bunch so be it. I did not post it to start an argument. If you don't like what I say then please put me on your ignore list. I will not lose sleep over it.

You obviously missed my point. I know the troops fight for this country, & desreve our respect, duh. Where did I say they didnt? But in THIS was can you please explain to me how they are fighting for THIS country. What are they protecting, that we are at risk of loosing?
Please explain how how Iraq was a threat. Clinton didnt go to war because there was absolutely no need to as now about 70% of the US citizens realize. WoMD..please.

There is no need to put you on my IL. I dont see the point there. I hope you dont loose sleep, because sleep is a good thing. I dont want you any more grumpy than you already sound. Because it already sounds like you cant see that I obviously support our troops & can plainly see that this war was & is being fought for no reason. If you still cant figure it out. I take exception to Sat66 when it's assumed that anyone who disagrees with the war as a liberal.
If questioning the governments motives and honesty makes me a liberal then so be it. If studying the situations in the world and forming my own opinion makes me a liberal, then so be it.
If accepting the findings of the 911 Committee (no WMD, no terrorists, no terrorist support) makes me a liberal, then so be it.
If I'm required to blindly accept my parties policies regardless of their basis in fact, then it's all yours.
We all have fear about what the future holds for us but one thing is for sure, when we quit questioning the policies of our government and accept whatever is thrown at us, we cease to deserve what so many have died to preserve, protect, and defend.

The brave men and women who defend our counrty with their lives aren't doing this so we can all be lap puppies for either party.
The best way to dishonor our troops is to blindly accept what our leaders tell us.

The fact that we can have this discussion is proof that they are doing their job in an exemplary fashion. I hope we deserve it!
