Yeah, gas went SKYROCKETING to a whopping $2.65 today!!!! That is a 2 cent change...WOW.
If we were in such a shortage, especially since the hurricane how come it hasnt gone up? I mean after all with supply & demand, it should have skyrocketed once the storm hit. You figure with that 25% not producing, there would be a great shortage right?

This is all about people making money. Plain & simple.
1 barrel of crude oil is 42 gallons. Out of those 42 gallons they can make 19 gallons of fuel..you all do the math( if no one knew exactly what & how much a barrel equalled to).

Regular gas has been running about 2.53 a gal around here. Yesterday a couple of the stations bumped it to 2.85, but 2 that I normally use actually dropped to 2.48 ?? Go figure?? [:I]

Crewzin, I've gotten similar emails in the past, but I'd tend to agree with the folks at Snopes, in that it would basicly be impossible to get enough consumers involved to ever make a dent...[xx(]

On CNN this morning, they quoted one "expert" who stated that gas prices will climb to $4 per gallon because of the hurricane. CNN was careful to be clear that this was ONE GUYS opinion.

We'll probably see a blip in prices but let's hope that things quickly return to normal, whatever that is.

I paid $2.95 for premium last night and I could see a refivery from the pump! I saw a Chevron station today with premium at $3.09. I may have to "un-GT" my car until this blows over. (no pun intended!) [8)]

AZ_IceMan I paid $2.91 for 91 at my Chevron just about an hour ago. I think I'll stay home for a few days. I hate to see what it'll be for the holiday weekend.

I paid $3.05/gallon for premium today north of Seattle and I'm confident it will be increasing steadily in the days to come. They are saying to be prepared to pay $4/gallon for gas! [:0] [V]
