These F***ING peopel here man. We are out of gas. Everyone panicked & loaded up their cars, gas cans & anythinig else they could find to put gas in. One guy in a pick up had 20 5 gallon containers. I was like WTF, why do you need all that gas? He said & I s**t you not " I want to get it before we run out". I told him..."it's mother f****rs like you that make us run out of fuel. So now I have to come out here in hopes of getting fuel, because people like you b***h about us running out of fuel when you are the root cause".
We are supposed to be going to Orlando this weekend for my son's 3rd birthday party at Disney. Now I dont know if we can make it because there is no damn fuel here. It's still below $3/gallon. BUT THERE IS NONE LEFT!!!!!
I still have 10/gallons in gas cans, but that is for drivng here. But when we get there, my sister say that they will start to ration the fuel this weekend up there. So we wont know how much fuel we will be able to get.
Damn it I hate when people panic. Because they are the ones causing this crap.

[:I] Yesterday at 7:00am reg gas was $2.69 (4 previous days twas 2.55) yesterday at noon went to $2.89. then at 3:00pm it went to $2.99. This morning still at $2.99 by noon. it was $3.09 this eve, it went to $3.29. Surly, this cant ALL be from storm damage or OPEC countries playing with the price of a barrel of crude. some of this is probly from the greed of the oil barons. Hmmm, theres one in the White House now. Just my .02 and my humble opinion,

While making record profits the oil co.s have refused to build new refineries and blame "enviromentalists" for them not building. What a crock. Keeping gas inventories low and not having the facilities to really produce more for the reserves is the reason for high gas prices. Not a crude oil shortage. They have artifically created a situation in which they can claim there is more demand than supply there by keeping prices up. The merging of oil co.s and the simple fact of putting out of business others by manipulating the markets in the places where we used to have independant refiners/retailers has left us with 5 major co.s in the US- Cheveron, BP, Exxon, Shell, & Tesoro. Any business with only 5 majors playing has given them unprecedented power to turn what used to a free market into one that is so easily manipulated, a small fire at a small facility can push prices higher. Untill the goverment steps in and DEMANDS that more gas be put in the reserves, we will never see a reduction. Fat chance with this administration in power.

I love seeing a Californian complain that there are not enough refineries.

Remember, the last time the goverment did something about oil prices, we had Gas Lines at the few stations that had inventory to sell.

I would rather just pay the $ and not have to wait in line for 30 minutes.

Suck It Up.... People in N.O. are dying of thirst surrounded by water, lunatics are blowing up mosques in Iraq, and religious nutjobs are plotting to kill us... and you folks are complaining that the high gas price might mean you have to postpone buying those chrome plated seat levers from CruiserMods-R-Us....

Just be glad you aint a Hummer owner.

And let the magic of the free market fix this gas problem, because the alternatives are all worse.

We could build more refineries, drill in a frozen wasteland. But what about the titmouse, sorare minnow and disturbing the migration of a moose ? Not to mention even getting close to admitting that doing these things has no real impact on the !! environment!!!! The environmentalist always want to stop growth, any impact on nature...but only after they have their house built, their fossil fuel vehicle purchased...

I'm with someone else in these forums that said "let the free market find the price and level off, as long as I don't have to stand in line". I went to a car show in Orlando last night (Old Town) an hours drive away. Saw dozens of gas stations in town and along the way. I stopped and filled up at $2.85 (a few stations to choose from) and I saw it as high as $3.19 the closer I got towards Orlando.

P.S. I didn't do an exact test, but I filled it to the top when I set off and drove 125 miles there and back and filled it again when I arrived near home...maybe not right to the top the second time, but it took a little over 5 gallons. 3/4 of the road there is 70mph and I set the cruise at 75. I would guess that I'm getting in the lower 20 so I'm happy with that.
