I cannot for the life of me figure out why there was so much support for this jerk. I think the whole "children's book" ploy was just that, a ploy thought up by his lawyers to try to mount the campaign they mounted just to get this guy off. Even the notorious liberal court in California denied this guy's appeal. Anybody can write a book with a "ghost writer" doing the work, which I suspect was the case for this guy. And nominating him for the Nobel Prize? What was that all about, for pete's sake? The thing that really annoyed me about this whole deal was teachers in California organizing their students to write letters on his behalf! Totally inappropriate! People need to learn that actions have consequences, ESPECIALLY kids! what about the families of the people he murdered? Who was speaking for them? ( I guess Arnold was.)

After him being on death row for 24 years, no one that was born 23 years ago know anything about the murders he was accused of committing, so people (teachers) that were protesting only have the word of the media etc. to go by.

You didn't hear much about the victems families complaining about putting him to death. The families of the victems are the ones who suffer.[xx(]

The 12 step reform program for mass murderers:

1) Join a gang
2) Be tough and fearsome
3) Kill people, as many as you'd like
4) Avoid getting caught if possible
5) If you get caught and convicted, play the appeals process for 20 or 30 years
6) During those years give the impression you are reformed
7) Remain a tough SOB behind bars
8) Live off the tax payers, make friends and abuse smaller inmates.
9) Write letters all day long until someone buys your story and gets it in the media. You've got nothing better to do 12 hours a day 365 days a year. Let some sucker write childrens books for you as a ghost writer.
10) Maybe even get some anti-death penalty activist to nominate you for Nobel prize (any social studies professor can do it, even Ward Churchill could do it).
11) After 20 years everyone forgets your an SOB and sees you as a loving victim.
12) Get some bleeding heart governor to grant clemency.

The only problem I have is the method used and that Charles Manson wasn't there with him. They should have blown him away with several shotguns and then stood around laughing at the pieces.
I'm sure much of the cost of his incarceration could have been recouped on pay per view. Could have called it WWE-Full Choke!
