Getting serious - but on topic...
Just figured my gas mileage over the past 5,012 miles
...Drum roll.... 25.31 MPG ! ! !
It's nearly all with Champion Irridium plugs gapped 0.038)and Crane wires.
Last calculation over nearly 7,000 miles was 24.65.
My overal mileage is 24.47 over 22,135 miles.
NOT BAD. [?]
I don't use cruise - too hilly on my commute - cruise kept downshifting.
I try to get into top gear and stay there. I give gas at the bottom of a hill and ease as I crest a hill.
Keep tires at 38-39 PSI.
I have virtually NO stop and go, only a handfull of lights.
I definitely don't drive slow - I do the passing, I don't get passed - but I don't floor it on take-off.
When I first got the car, I could barely squeak 3 round trips - I'd usually get the dreaded chime on the home run of the third trip - now the needle is above the 1/4 mark - that's what I like most - clearly the few MPG doesn't mean squat, even with gas prices what they are - I just don't like running the tank low, but would rather get gas every third day rather than every other day....
