This guy caught on radar doing 220 in a neighborhood on a motorcycle.

At that speed a helmet just makes it easier for the EMTs to find and pick up your head.

Agree with there fritz_t_coyote. By wearing the helmet the EMT staff doesn't have to worry that much about picking up the pieces.

I had a buddy who served in NYC EMS and used to joke about cases where he didn't need a stretcher... just a big sponge.

(You get some pretty grim humor in that line of work.)
