I got an 18.
I laugh at some who call themselves conservatives, yet support this administration -
To me, the good points of conservativism are:
-Fiscal responsibility
-Smaller government
-Government out of our personal lives
-Strong defense
None of those attributes are what's gone on for the past 6 years -
The Terry Schaivo case was government meddling to the extreme. If there was concern for our security, we'd have secured our borders and harbors, starting 9/12/01.

To me, what is regarded as "liberal" is that government should provide for the common welfare of it's citizens - (that's from the constitution, by the way). Some things I favor-
-Health care
-Education
-Alternative energy
-Innocent until proven guilty
I think student loan funding should've been increased, not cut. I find it sad the US is the only major industrial country without health coverage for a large percentage of its population. I don't think we should have an "energy plan" (it isn't) that was developed in secret by the oil industry and Cheney. If we really want to do something about Islamic terrorists, we should stop funding them by buying their oil - we should be funding nuclear fusion research, coal gasification, wind, solar, tidal,... - we lag behind Europe in many of these areas - even Brazil has become petroleum independent.

I don't know where this one falls, but Eminent Domain needs to be controlled - I am in favor of it to build a highway, but not in favor of it just to build a strip mall. Maybe the "common good" has to cover a bigger area - a highway benefits people from far away, the boosting of a proerty tax base only benefits the single town.

The founding fathers had no concept of welfare as the liberal left defines it today. The meaning was not to provide cradle to grave assistance for those unwilling to work.

Don, so are you finally admitting your a liberal?

Your side is pushing for emminent domain Don.
We could be more oil independent if your side did not fight every attempt to drill or explore.

Seems to me I'm very close to center - what'd you get, a 50?
What do you mean, "my side" - I have no "side" - I'm for America - all of it, not just lobbyists and the wealthy.

Problem is, thats just another 1 dimensional quiz...

Here is a better one:
http://www.self-gov.org/wspq.html

This charts 2 dimensions, and I think a lot of you fiscal conservative/socially liberal types may find a better fit on it:
(IE: Anyone who believes Married Gays should be allowed to Own Guns)
