Default Road Rage

What is it with people and road rage? Lately I think SWFL has a complex or something, people in this are seem to think their better then everyone else. Why? I don't understand it. Because I win cars shows and drive a nice car doesn't make other people better then me, I think not, I take car of my ride to last me a long time. I should be the one driving like an asshat and giving people the bird because of how poorly they drive around me.

Almost got hit by this guy the other day because he tried to move while I was next to him, then he bitches at me? For what because I have been in the same spot for 2 miles and traffic isn’t moving anywhere thanks to the large trucks that take up all 3 lanes of highway. It’s not my fault, WTF. Makes me want to carry a gun, because of that ridiculous law congress passed, I would say in court he tried to run me off the road, my life was threatened, one less asshat to worry about, and his family, so what teach their kids to drive properly and have good road manners and nothing would have ever happen.

You think I put my life in danger so my family can’t live life anymore, your crazy. I’m the last one, you take me out and my family dies, you better believe I’m going to stand up for that.

Understand your feelings but wanting to carry a gun is just one way to escalate the hostilities. I too am upset at times the way people carry on when they get behind the wheel but try to deal with it without myself becoming aggressive. It's tough to do, but hang in there.

I too know what you mean King. Don't you jusst love those dump trucks using all three lanes. They are doing it on purpose do doubt. A-holes. Where are the police when you need them. I also love the intersections where people still make their turns after the red knowing that they will block the intersection. A-holes. Unfortunately it is not just here, it every where! I just got back from a trip going thru a few states and it is not different. No blinkers, just going from lane to lane, on your a$$ even though there is no where to go and so on.
There a kind in my neighborhood (there's a few of them), spoiled brat, parents give this new driver a lexus IS. We both leave in the morning at the same time and I see this kid drive every day, like an A-hole. Well, one day I see him driving thru the neighborhood and the front of his car (or should I say daddys) is all smacked up. Usually the front means you were too close. I just started to laugh at him. He saw me laugh and he knew why. He got the car back from the shop and I notice that he's a better driver now. Most people have the attitude that nothing will happen to them even though with their driving habits they can cause something to happen to someone else.

Yeah, in the old western days of cowboys most of these people would have been shot!

John steel,
Yeah I was just kinda flaming earlier about it on the web. I have no real need to carry a gun. I do get your point. I just let them get a ticket later for reckless driving.

Bigdogdad,
Yeah they do it on purpose, why else would they drive like that on a strip of the highway when there aren't any turns near for miles. Then they pass each other and repeat, its like a race which nobody wins. Oh and the police, they don't do s@@# but get the people who aren't doing anything wrong. Why does the broken down car take 3 patrol cars to take care of, oh wait because its a hot 20 something chic, makes sense now. But when you have a person doing something their not suppose to (90 in 50) they let them walk, or an old person who can't see over the wheel and causes a three car pile up, they give them a moving violation warning and not a ticket. I could go on for days.

I hear you, Colby.
Every night at one intersection, there's a light with a turn arrow for the cars coming at me - nearly every night when my light goes green, at least one, sometimes 2 or even 3 buttheads keep coming and turning - you know their light went amber and red before mine went green - I pull close and lean on my Aoogah horn to let everyone around see what a turd they are. It's the least I can do.
Mostly, I put on a CD and chill - if a guy is riding my bumper, I just know if he hits me it'll be his fault.

Quick,
Yeah I know about the light too. I recently started to contact these runners myself. I counted 3 the other night myself at my intersection in front of my house.

I have noticed that people are driving like they are playing a computer game. This is scarey because in the game there is always a do over. Not in real life. Also the guy you crash into in the game has no one at home depending on him. Going thru red lights is like holding a loaded pistol to my families head. The outcome can be just as devestating. Just my 2 cents.

OK folks, everyone take a deep breath.

1) There are (Oedipus Rex-ing) bad drivers out there who are trying to Kill You.

2) Take a defensive driving class, learn how to avoid being a victim.

(try AAA or the National Safety Council, and try to get into a physical classroom. Despite what the computer-based classes claim, a classroom setting is better, as you can learn from other drivers who are also trying to survive.)
