Marks on Aluminum Rims

[][:I]Unfortunately I stopped cleaning my Suzuki's Aluminum rims just before the rain came yesterday. Once the rain stopped I noticed the armoral rim cleaner ate the finish on the rims..

Any cleaner suggestions???[xx(]

Poor products = poor results. if you notice when you go to a automotive store. dozens of wheel cleaners each of them specific to differant types of wheels. I own five cars, and I don''t even know what each material all my cars wheels are made of. Be safe, (don't use acid based cleaners) use all-purpose cleaners, then folow up with a sealant. [8]

With three cars here in the household, I too have no idea what kind of material the rims are. Like Turbomangt sais, all purpose cleaner and then a sealent. The rims aren't too bad to keep up with since I clean them every weekend. 15 - 20 minutes out of my time and does that chrome ever shine

There seem to be 2 types of wheel cleaners. One is for metal (aluminum) and one for coated wheels. Most factory mags have a tough clear finish painted on to help with the warranty. Metal cleaners eat this! Use one that says it works on aluminum,etc......and "clear coated, factory painted" wheels.
My personal choice is EAGLE ONE A2Z, but that's probably just one of many.

mothers makes a good wheel polish , and zanio also works great on the rims !!
