WELCOME to the forum. I could think of a couple of worse places to be stationed other than Washington State. Sounds like you have a plan. Plenty of help around here. Enjoy the ride.

I bought the duals from Maggie at raceandstreet.com at a car show and they installed them on my 2002. When I traded it in, I removed them and installed them on the 2006. I cut the opening myself.

I have lived in the Portland Oregon metropolitan area all my life. Northwest Oregon and Western Washington (especially Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands) some parts of B.C. and, except for the winters, New England, are about the only places I would care to live. San Francisco is a beautiful city. The trouble is that Marxists have infested these areas.
One April I visited St. Louis, a beautiful city. My first day there around two inches of snow fell. The next day it was around 80 degrees and sunny. I visited Clearwater Florida where there was a wind and rain storm with daunting marine navigation the first day I was there; and the next day was sunny, hot, and humid. I visited Atlanta and found the wettest rain downpour I've ever experienced. I visited Las Vegas where there was a terrifying lightening storm and flooding in the streets the first day/night and 110 degree temperatures for the next several days. I have a relative who lived in Arizona for a few summer months, had a roofing job, then came home reporting that he had just returned from "hell." And some say Pacific Northwest weather is crazy!
