Default You people are terrific

We've had few spammers in the last couple of days and I can see that many of you have looked at the thread but have not replied. That's great. The less response they get, the less they'll try and spam the forum.

I get to them, delete the post and ban the spammer as fast as I can but wanted to let you all know your doing a great job of not responding to their threads.

I'm just curious, the problem with spammers is that with advertising or what? I could see it also meaning useless information/questions. I'm just wondering because I'm hoping that I'm not getting in the way by posting a lot. Day 2 on the forum, (okay day 1, I joined late this morning!) and I'm up to 11 posts already. I sometimes suspect that my posts tend to not always make sense/be useful even tho I try. I just don't really want to get on anyones nerves. I came across a thread where people were asking questions about a particular user and seemingly not very happy with the user because he was new and asking a lot of questions. I guess just nervous about first impressions.

I've sustained a severe hand injury two months ago and pretty much my day is divided between sleeping, physiotherapy, and 3 internet forums! I might be able to go back to work by May but that's being optimistic.

Ben,

The problems this and other forums have are with spammers that post in numerous parts of the forum with items not remotely related to the forum (shoes, free gift cards, cameras etc.).

Asking questions, no matter how trivial, related to the forums topic (PT Cruiser) will never get you deleted or banned. We do wish that new members of the forum would use the search engine before asking so the same questions don't keep popping up, but just because they don't is no reason for anyone to get mad.

It does seem recently that someone buys a used PT, has a problem and immediately joins the forum for answers without reading the rules. I answer a lot of questions the same way anyone else could, just go to Google search and type in "Chrysler fault code P0XXX" or I use our own search from the top of the forum.

Back to your question; your post doesn't have to be useful but just remember it's a family forum, there's the Non-PT Discussions thread for off-topic talk and don't bash anyone for their points of view ....everyone's got an opinion.

We're all on here for one reason (I hope), because we have the same interest in a great little car. Enjoy the ride ...unless you put 20s on with rubber-band tires and feel every bump on the road.

4 great days, and yes I noticed that you all noticed just how much spam comes to this forum. There's hardly a day I log-on where I don't find some threads to delete. Most of you don't notice because I come here so often and get rid of it before you see it. I can log-on when I go up to Virginia to visit my grandkids but sorry, wasn't about to spend the $3.95 one-time charge plus $.75 a minute while I was aboard the ship to see how the forum was doing.
